The 2022 Winter Olympics is right around the corner, and athletes are preparing and training to earn that gold medal. The 2022 Winter Olympics is to be held in Beijing, China; and is scheduled to start February 4th, 2022, and end on February 20th. As of right now, tickets for the 2022 winter Olympics have yet to be for sale, and it seems that they will have a limit on spectators allowed to spectate the games live. The requirements for spectators for this year’s competition are being a current resident of China’s Mainland and that you meet China’s COVID-19 requirements. Surge athletes are fearful of this year’s games as Covid cases rise. Athletes will be tested daily regardless of their vaccination status, and they will also be encouraged to stay away from large groups of people.

Since there are so many events going on this Winter Olympics, you can find the schedule on the Winter Olympic website: https://olympics.com/en/beijing-2022/ . Some events the Olympics are holding are men and women snowboarding, figure skating, cross country skiing, curling, and many other events. One athlete representing The United States of America in Alpine Skiing is Luke WInters who is a Barlow alumni! Some future games are scheduled to be held in Paris, Milano, Los Angeles, And Brisbane.

You can find things like schedules, news, ceremonies, and more on the website. To access the games’ live broadcast, go to the Official Winter Olympics Website. You can see more content from the Olympics on their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat, and even Tik Tok page.
