After the release of Deftones’ successful third nu-metal album, White Pony, in 2000, lead singer Chino Moreno announced that he would take a break from the band to work on a new project. Later that year, Moreno presented Team Sleep, a band involving Moreno (vocals), Todd Wilkinson (guitarist), CrookOne (turntablist), Rick Verrett (guitarist and keyboardist), Gil Sharone (drummer), and Chuck Doom (bassist). The group experimented with new and different concepts while including Deftones’ original sound. They blended Moreno’s other group’s heavy mood with the beats from Massive Attack. Towards the end of 2001, Team Sleep entered the studio to release their first single, “Ever” (Foreign Flag). Four years later, the band launched their self-titled album with guest musicians such as Melissa Auf Der Maur (ex-Hole bassist), Mary Timony (Helium), Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle/Faith frontman), and several members from Deftones. On July 10, 2015, the band self-released Woodstock Sessions, Vol.4, and has been on hiatus ever since.

In the constantly changing world of music, very few artists have succeeded in creating a unique and lasting impact like Ethan Jace. Born in England, Ethan Jace surrounded himself with the sounds that would form the beginning of his musical career. From covers of Lizzy McAlpine to Green Day, Jace has created a heartfelt melody that is uniquely his while still keeping part of the original song. He brings a gentle mood to the song through somber guitar strumming and delicate vocals. His music seamlessly blends pop and rock, attracting a diverse fan base. With his emotional depth and distinctive style, audiences worldwide are captivated, establishing Ethan Jace as a profound musician with a promising future in the music industry.

Glitzy, glam-rock band Royal Sugar is a Nashville-based band contributing to the modern glam-rock music scene. Leather, glitter, and ambition are thrown into every masterpiece. Tyler Cohenour (frontman) and Garrett Carr (bass/vocals) draw inspiration from bands such as KISS and Queen while adding a pop vibe to the glamorous rock. Cohenour and Carr threw around band name ideas, but the name didn’t become official until the fall of 2021. That same year, Royal Sugar launched their first single “Medicine”. The song was originally written (but never released) by Harry Styles. During the ex-One Direction member’s first solo tours back in Nashville, Tyler and Garrett attended the concert and were mesmerized by the track. They decided to release their cover on TikTok, gaining over 70,000 followers, after which they recorded the song. Royal Sugar dropped their third single and original song, “Fleeting Love,” a year later. The song shows the dynamic of a toxic relationship, running back to a poisonous fling repeatedly, only to feel low afterward, knowing it could never be something more. The heartbreak anthems music video uses concepts of solitude, isolation, and romanticizing misfortune to give off a cold and unforgiving mood. Uniquely blending glam-rock and pop to captivate the audience. With their electrifying performances and emotionally charged music, Royal Sugar is undeniably a band to watch out for in the coming years.
