As 2025 approaches the three-month mark, many new movies have been released, and many more are to come. We kickstarted the year with these box office hits: Captain America: Brave New World, Paddington In Peru, Brave the Dark, and Dog Man.

For the Spring Season, there are so many incredible upcoming movies. According to The Numbers website, from March to May, an estimated one hundred movies will be released. These movies come from all types of production companies, from Disney to Ketchup Entertainment. For March, we are looking at around 55 movies being released! Some of the top movies coming out include Mickey 17 (March 7), Snow White (March 21), The Woman in the Yard (March 28), The Penguin Lessons (March 28), A Working Man (March 28), and so many more. One movie in March that is sparking major controversy is Disney’s new live-action Snow White. With a new twist on the story, many are concerned that the original story from 1937 will be left in the past for an updated version. Many people greatly adore the original film and like the storyline of the princess being rescued by the prince. With the new edition, the princess will no longer be saved and this is disliked by many. Though the change may not be everyone’s favorite, it has been 88 years since we were given the original and it may be time for a new look on the film.  In April, we can expect around twenty-five movies to be released, and many are anxiously awaiting an exciting film: A Minecraft Movie. This new movie is a Warner Bros movie that collaborated with Mojang to create a fun-filled movie coming out on April 4th. We will get a look into what life would be like in our favorite child hood game, Minecraft. More exciting movies coming up in April are The Chosen: Last Supper-Part 2 & 3 (April 10), Drop (April 11), Amatuer (April 11), Sinners (April 18), and Until Dawn (April 25). For the month of May, we can expect around nineteen movies to be released. Movies that are expected to become big hits this May include Thunderbolts* (May 2), Karate Kids: Legends (May 30), and Mission: Impossbile-The Final Reckoning (May 23). Disney is releasing a live-action Lilo & Stitch that, unlike Snow White, is getting many people excited to come and see the film. Similarly, Thunderbolts* is making MCU fans eager to get another look into the world of the less well-known heroes, such as Bucky and Yelena.

In the Summer, around thirty movies are set to be released. For June, we get to spring into summer with the new live-action How to Train your Dragon starring teen star Mason Thames. The highlights of June’s upcoming movies are Ballerina (June 6), Elio (June 20), How to Train Your Dragon (June 13), and F1 (June 27). For July we can expect Jurassic World Rebirth (July 2), Superman (July 11), I Know What You Did Last Summer (July 18), The Smurfs Movie (July 18), The Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 25), and Off the Grid (TBD). Some of the major movie stars in these movies include Pedro Pascal, Scarlett Johansson, and Madelyn Cline. In August we will get eleven new movies to binge. While no crazy hyped movies are coming out this August, some movies are expected to have good outcomes. These include The Bad Guys 2 (August 1), The Battle Of Baktan Cross (August 8), and Freakier Friday (August 8). Having a new summer movies re-cap watch party would be the perfect end to your summer before we jump right back into school.

We get to jumpstart the school year with an estimated 27 new movies to be released in the fall! This lineup of movies is sure to get you hyped to push through until Thanksgiving break. For September we start off with a minor amount of expected hits such as The Conjuring: Last Rites (Sept. 5), Him (Sept. 19), and a new movie for kids, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie (Sept. 26). These are a good warm-up for the upcoming movies in October that are sure to bring hundreds to the theaters. These movies include The Black Phone 2 (Oct. 17), Animal Friends (Oct. 10), Tron: Ares (Oct. 10), and Mortal Kombat 2 (Oct. 24). With actors like Mason Thames, Ryan Renolds, and Channing Tatum, these movies will be worth the watch. For November, a big hit is coming to screens: Wicked: For Good. This is the second part of Wicked as part 1 came out in November of 2024. November also has new movies being released, such as Zootopia 2 (Nov. 26), Now You See Me 3 (Nov. 14), and The Running Man (Nov. 7). To finish the year of 2025 off the month of December is packed with movies! We can expect about 30 movies to be released, including many Sony and Warner Bros films. Some highlights of this lineup are Five Nights at Freddys 2 (Dec. 5), The Housemaid (Dec. 25), The Sponge Bob Movie: Search For Squarepants (Dec. 19), and so many more!
