Every two years, Sam Barlow students get to escape school work with Springfest. Springfest is similar to a miniature carnival, but in Barlow’s parking lot. Students attend all their classes in the first half of the day, and when lunch ends, they enjoy the festivities.
There were many activities to participate in at the 2025 Springfest, leaving students with many fun memories. From watching Mr. Arnold join in the belly flop contest to a riding carnival ride, you could always find something to do.
This year, many participated in sports tournaments such as volleyball, pickleball, and spikeball. For those who weren’t participating in those competitions, you could find them challenging a mechanical bull, face painting, or eating their favorite carnival foods. There were many options for food, from sweets like cotton candy to Cece’s Gyros; many were satisfied with the snacking options.
A student favorite was a massive inflatable obstacle course, which you could challenge another student to. The line for this attraction was always long, but moved quickly, leaving many students pleased. If you weren’t into loud or fast-paced activities, inside the school, many played board games or had themselves drawn by caricature artists!
The 2025 Spring Fest was a fun and activity-filled experience. Thanks to the many staff, students, and volunteers who organized and made it possible, it’s safe to say that this year’s Springfest didn’t disappoint.
