What would you tell a younger Bruin or your past self about high school life?

Q: what is the number one thing you wish you had known before you started high school?

A: I wish I knew that most people are more concerned about their social status than they are with their academic goals.

Q: How was your high school experience different from how you thought it was going to be?

A: I thought I was going to have a friend group and have more fun.

Q: On a scale from 1-10 how was your high school experience, and why?

A: 4. It was not what I was expecting. I did not care about anyone or any social event. And treated it like a job.

Q: If you had to go back in time and do high school over, what would you do differently?

A: I would do it online, but thinking about that as much as I did not have a friend group I did enjoy “fake socializing” with prep.

Q: When you were in high school what was one thing that you would look forward to, and why?

A: Journalism. When I started in 10th grade, I felt like I found my purpose in high school.

Q: Do you think corona “ruined your high school experience”? If so, why?

A: Not one bit because I was ready to be done with high school.

Q: If you had to go back to in-person school, would you go back and why?

A: Not for high school, but yes for college.

Q: If you were a teacher teaching online, how would your class look?

A: Having the online class 2 times a week and having 3 assessments each week.

Q: If you were a teacher, what would you teach? And why?

A:  Journalism or AP science because I know a lot about them.

Q: Is there anything you wished your teachers would do or do differently?

A:  Having live calls and not just having the assessments and not just posting videos.
