On Wednesday, October 15, at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Brooklyn, New York the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place. Walking the runway first was Jasmine Tookes, who is currently 9 months pregnant. In place of the classic angel wings, she wore a wired seashell that surrounded her back with lots of pearls. The first part of the show was a golden theme called the “First Light” collection with stunning wings and models wearing golden matching sets. Also walking the runway was supermodel Adiriana Lima wearing a sparkly golden body suit and golden orange bird-like wings. The next part of the show featured Madison Beer, where she sang “Bittersweet,” “Make You Mine,” and “Yes Baby.” This part of the show is called “Bombshell,” and it showcases the models in pink and white colors as well as floral wings. During this, basketball player Angel Reese walked the runway as well as supermodel Gigi Hadid, who wore a matching pink lace set with a pink peony coat trailing the ground behind her. The next part of the show was the “PINK Halftime Show” that showcased models in the sub-brand of Victoria’s Secret PINK. Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee got to walk the runway during this part of the show, along with Angel Reese, walking this part as well. The K-pop girl group TWICE performed during the PINK section of the show, singing their songs “This is for” and “Strategy.” Only four of the nine members of their group performed: Nayeon, Jihyo, Momo, and Tzuyu. After this performance, the whole scene turned red as Karol G walked onto the stage where she performed “Ivonny Bonita” and “Latina foreva.” This part of the show was called Hot Pursuit. During her performance, Bella Hadid walked the stage in a flaming red set with a long train of red silk. After this part concluded, “Toxic” by Britney Spears played as models walked down the runway in light pink and silver sparkly outfits in the “Magic Hour” part of the show. The last modeling part of the show was called “Black Tie” and featured the models in black lace and silver, including Adriana Lima with giant silver wings towering above her, and Alessandra Ambrosio, who wore wings shaped like an eye mask and a lace set that was all black. Gigi Hadid walked the runway in all white with angel wings shaped like a realistic angel. “Sports Car” by Tate McRae played as Bella Hadid closed the show in large white floral angel wings and wearing a silver sparkly set. The last part of the show had a guest performance by Missy Elliot, who sang “Get Ur Freak On” and “Minute Man” with a group of backup dancers. After the completion of the show, all the models walked back onto the runway while Mariah Carey’s song “Fantasy” played, and pink confetti rained on the models and performers, finishing off the night!
