Have you ever wanted to watch an odd, unique movie that blends a sense of horror? Then this is for you. Lee Cronin’s The Mummy premiered on April 17, 2026, shocking horror fans with its surprising imagery and gore. The movie is based on a demonic being who destroys families by taking possession of each of their family members. Traveling and feeding off of each other makes it so horrid and inhumane.
The entity is supposed to be sealed off, never opened or brought near anyone, and buried beneath us. But instead of being buried underground, a family decided it was a tradition to keep the entity living and would find a new corpse every few decades to renew it. They would always prey on victims, no matter what circumstances they had to endure, though they usually preferred a young kid; this way, their vitality lasts longer than a middle-aged human’s would. As this family sets out to find prey to transfer this entity into, they encounter a mixed family of four who have just settled in Cairo, Egypt. The evil family decided it was best for their youngest daughter to try to be playmates with their only daughter. While they were playing buddies, the daughter of the evil family kept on gifting the innocent little girl these chocolate candies to lure her each day. And as they lured her each day, there came one day when the evil mother visited the innocent young girl through the gate of their home. While this is being done, the father seems not to be aware of his child being lured and kidnapped. As he finally notices she’s gone and not playing with her little brother anymore, he goes outside, thinking his daughter would be under the tree in their backyard, where she usually plays with her dolls. Though to his surprise, she’s not there. He searches outside of their gates and all through the streets of where they’re visiting. He then spots his daughter being taken away by this lady until this sand storm comes and blurs his vision, leading to him not being able to catch up to them and save her. Frustrated and worried, the couple goes to report their missing daughter to the police, but to their disadvantage, the cops are no help and decide to blame it on the couple instead.
This keeps going until they eventually just decide to give up because of how lost and disadvantaged they are, being in a foreign country and losing their daughter. The family then moves back home, trying to cope with the loss of their daughter, until they are on this trip, eight years later, and get this call from an unknown number. This unknown number decides the fate of this family and whether or not their lives are gonna be changed forever. Will this family make it out alive from this tragedy being faced upon their lives, or will they crumble to the fate of this phone call they’re about to answer?
