As of April eight, 2026, Barlow’s Boys Volleyball season had kicked off with three games that were very tough. Our first game was against Reynolds. The final was two to three, Reynolds taking the win. But it was the very first game on, so everyone had tried their best. Our next game was against Parkrose. Barlow won our first set, then lost the next three, making it a one-to-three. Our newest game was against La Salle Prep, a loss of zero to three. Yet this schedule has been hard; the boys’ volleyball team has done their absolute best against these teams so far. Boys’ volleyball at Barlow is fairly new, having started in our 2024 spring season for Barlow sports. Our boys had played very well against La Salle Prep, with great communication and great dives. Our JV teams had also been doing their best, having a two-to-one record. Many of our JV players are freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, and our varsity has a player from each grade level.
Many of our players are very talented, some coming from clubs, and or from other sports. These players would play their absolute best when it comes to the game. “We already have enough talent on the team. I think we will be a really good team, top three”-(Mason O’Brien). Even with ups and downs, it is the start of the season. “Overall, we are solid.. Early in the season, there’s those little problems, but nothing that can’t be fixed”- (Gavin Tonge). Both our Junior Varsity and Varsity teams are both great. “We have a pretty solid varsity.. I think that JV, they have really good synergy.”-(Ivan Alvarez). No matter which game is a win and which game is a loss, the team still reflects and puts it to use.
We still have many home and away games. Here is the list of home games and away games for our season. At home, we will be playing Hood River Valley on April ninth, 2026. Central Catholic on April 24, 2026. Parkrose on April 28, 2026. Gresham on May seven, 2026. Lastly, David Douglas on May 12, 2026. Our away games are against Gresham on April 14, 2026. Reynolds on April 23, 2026. La Salle Prep on April 30, 2026. Hood River Valley on May fifth, 2026. Finally, our last away game is against Central Catholic. Hopefully you can make it to some of these games!
Sam Barlow’s boys’ volleyball team has a bunch of motivation to play and finish each game with a win. There is so much potential and much work to work on. But in the end, Barlow’s boys’ volleyball team is working on their game, and all are playing their absolute best to win some games! Hopefully, you can make it to these games and cheer on our boys’ volleyball team! Best of luck to our Boys’ volleyball.
